Paul Scholes has revealed his all-time favourite Manchester United picture in an X-rated Instagram post.
Scholes established himself as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, winning 25 trophies under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson.
But of all the happy memories he had in Manchester, the Englishman's favourite ever photo came at a darker time in his career, after he missed a decisive penalty in the FA Cup final against Arsenal.

Nothing could separate the two Premier League giants after 120 minutes, with spot-kicks required to determine the winner at the Principality Stadium.
Scholes' saw his effort saved from 12 yards, with Jens Lehmann guessing correctly and palming the ball away.
The United midfielder then returned to the centre circle where Roy Keane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand were waiting, arm in arm as they watched the drama unfold.

And it was here that Scholes' favourite ever photo was born, with the players' stoney-faced expressions in the pouring rain just as iconic to this day.
Sharing the image on his Instagram on Sunday, the 48-year-old wrote: "My favourite ever pic apart from being the only silly t*** to miss a pen."
He added three emojis of monkeys covering their eyes, clearly still embarrassed by his penalty, but able to acknowledge the brilliance of the photo.

Scholes would go on to win five more Premier Leagues with the Old Trafford outfit and lift the Champions League in 2008, so one would expect the fans have forgiven him by now.
