Manchester United’s fans were left baffled when they realised exactly how much of Marcus Rashford’s wages Aston Villa could cover.
Rashford, 27, is “close to agreeing” to a loan move from United to Villa according to reports from The Athletic.
The England international has been linked with moves to the likes of Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG and Borussia Dortmund since falling out of favour with United boss Ruben Amorim.

Rashford’s reported £325,000 per week salary was thought to be a sticking point in negotiations for several clubs. So how much will Aston Villa contribute towards his hefty wages?
Well, as per The Athletic’s report “Villa would be paying a significant portion of Rashford's £325,000-a-week wages and committing to a buy option.”
While Italy-based journalist Luca Bendoni issued an update via X.

He wrote: “Aston Villa and Manchester United are negotiating the last terms of Marcus Rashford deal.
“It is expected to be a loan + option. Villa are expected to pay more than half of the salary until June [should be 60/40 with United]. In case the option is triggered, Rashford should sign a deal until 2028.”
If this information is correct, Villa will be paying £195,000 while United will make up £130,000 of Rashford’s wage.
