Manchester United fans were emotionally moved after seeing Marcus Rashford’s ‘Future and Aims’ school note which he posted to social media.
Rashford, 27, is reportedly “close to agreeing” to a loan move to Aston Villa before the transfer deadline on Monday at 11 pm according to The Athletic.
The England international has fallen out of favour with United boss Ruben Amorim and has not started since a 2-1 Europa League win against Viktoria Plzen on December 12. He has since been omitted from 11 of 12 matchday squads.
In December he gave a bombshell interview to journalist Henry Winter, in which he made his intentions to leave the club clear.

"For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” said Rashford.
"When I leave it's going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.
"If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me."
And despite his United career having halted in recent times, fans will no doubt be sad to see one of their own leave the club in such a disappointing way.

On Saturday afternoon, the Mail’s Chris Wheeler explained that “Marcus Rashford has said his goodbyes to teammates and staff at Carrington as he prepares to complete a loan move to Villa”.
One United fan quote-tweeted Wheeler’s post with a school note which was previously posted to social media by Rashford in November 2019.
The note titled ‘Future And Aims’ read: “I hope that my future is very bright in and out of school, especially in my career as a footballer. I want to have a different lifestyle and make my family and others proud of me.

“I only have one aim in life and that is to be a professional footballer, and hopefully at Manchester United.”
And fans on social media were heartbroken, with many quick to give their thoughts.
One said: "Marcus needs to read that back and remind himself of his goal.
"No more trips to NYC wearing LV jackets. Work to do bro."

Another added: "In another world, we won the Prem together Rashy."
While a third commented: "He lived his dream and we loved it."
