Fabrizio Romano has shared an encouraging update on Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir's potential move to Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag is desperate to sign a new goalkeeper before the transfer deadline slams shut on Friday, with second-choice shot-stopper Dean Henderson's move to Crystal Palace all but guaranteed.
Bayindir has emerged as the club's priority target, with former Red Devils midfielder Fred announcing that Bayindir would move to Old Trafford this summer, stating that he was off "to join a great team".

Transfer expert Romano has now provided an update on the situation, revealing that the 25-year-old's move to United is "on track".
The Italian tweeted: "Manchester United now consider Altay Bayindir deal from Fenerbahçe ‘on track’ — working on final details and then it’ll be confirmed.
"Official statement not expected today as there’s still some work to do but €7m deal underway. Player in UK since Friday."

Bayindir was described as "amazing" by his former manager Mustafa Kaplan, who he worked under at Turkish club Ankaragucu.
Speaking to Turkish outlet Takvim (quotes via Daily Sabah), Kaplan waxed lyrical about the player's talents and lauded him an "amazing goalkeeper".
United have already spent nearly £180million on new recruits this summer, adding Mason Mount from Chelsea for £60m and goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan for £47m. While 20-year-old striker Rasmus Hojliund was drafted in for a reported £72m.
But Ten Hag is thought to want a new goalkeeper and left-back before the transfer window closes as the Dutchman looks to build on last season's Carabao Cup win and third-placed finish in the Premier League.
