Leny Yoro compilation emerges ahead of Man Utd transfer and fans should be very excited

Manchester United are closing in on a second signing of the summer, with Leny Yoro set to join Joshua Zirkzee.

A superb compilation of Leny Yoro has emerged after reports claimed Manchester United are closing in on the signing of the Lille defender.

United kicked off their summer spending under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS with the £36.5 million capture of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

The Red Devils appeared to be pushing to make his Netherlands compatriot Matthijs de Ligt their second addition.

However, on Wednesday, it was reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic that 18-year-old Yoro is flying to the UK for a medical ahead of a mooted move to United.

United and Lille had agreed a £52 million fee last week but Yoro still needed to give the go-ahead.

He is now expected to finalise personal terms and though the deal is not completely done, it look as though United will usurp Real Madrid, who were believed to be Yoro's preference but will not pay the aforementioned fee.

Yoro is seen as one of the most exciting defensive talents around and his highlights explain why there is such a hype surrounding him.

The France Under 21 international is a man mountain at 6ft 3 and reads the game brilliantly, with excellent positional sense.

He also has terrific recovery pace and an expert ability to time tackles. And a key reason as to why United see Yoro as a perfect long-term partner for Lisandro Martinez is due to his calmness on the ball.

Yoro is clearly a ball-playing defender and completed 1,727 passes for Lille in Ligue 1 last season - a record for a teenager across Europe's top five leagues.

The club's second-youngest ever player, Yoro has played 60 times in all competitions for Lille.

His contract expires in 2025, meaning Lille are willing to sell him for a substantial fee rather than losing a prized asset for nothing.
