Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is expected to wear a new squad number for the 2024/25 campaign, according to reports.
The 21-year-old Denmark international, who joined United from Atalanta last summer for an initial £64 million plus £8 million in add-ons, was handed the vacant No.11 shirt after completing his move.
He was expected to be assigned the 17 jersey – a number he wore at Atalanta – after it become available following the departure of Fred to Fenerbahce but after Mason Greenwood left on loan, Hojlund made 11 his own.

In fact, he ended the 2023/24 campaign as United's top scorer with 16 goals in 43 appearances.
"It took some time for me to get going in the Premier League, but I think I've caught up quite well. I feel like I've found my rhythm," Hojlund told Tipsbladet.
Now, the Dane will be hoping to make a productive start to the 2024/25 campaign when he puts on a shirt number that was previously worn by Anthony Martial.

Hojlund is expected to be handed the number nine shirt, according to The United Stand, who spoke to the Manchester United fan channel in March.
The Danish forward is said to have promised an interview with the publication's YouTube channel following his £72 million move from Serie A side Atalanta in the summer.
He spoke to channel owner and presenter Mark Goldbridge and discussed a range of topics, including a response to the release clause in his contract at United.

Hojlund recently offered his thoughts on United's decision to keep Erik ten Hag as manager ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
"Very happy," he told Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg. "He’s a very good coach and I’ve loved working with him this year."
The striker has also asked about his ambitions for the coming season. "I want to become even better and score even more goals," he added. "Hopefully we can win another trophy."
