Erik ten Hag is reportedly targeting a player who Jose Mourinho tried to sign for Manchester United
With the new investment from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, United are expected to add to their squad in the summer transfer window.
It will be the first opportunity to recruit players since Ractliffe purchased a 25 per cent stake in the Old Trafford club.

United have no doubt drew up shortlist of priority additions and according to Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devils are keen on going back for a player they tracked a few years back.
The outlet says United have been keeping tabs on Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez, who has been in fine form for the La Liga highflyers this term.
Gutierrez was in the Getafe academy before switching to Real and playing ten times for the first-team.

In July 2017, Mourinho tried to sign him as a 16-year-old but he ended up staying put at Real.
He signed a five-year deal with Girona in 2022 but Real Madrid are believed to retain 50 per cent of his rights and a buy-back clause.
£7 million is the fee mentioned should Carlo Ancelotti want to bring him back to the Spanish capital, but the club are said to be closing in on a deal for Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies.

United have been plagued by problems at left-back this season, with Luke Shaw restricted to just 12 league appearances because of injuries.
Tyrell Malacia, Ten Hag's first signing, has become something of a forgotten man - failing to make a single appearances in his second season.
The likes of Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof and Sofyan Amrabat have had to deputise at left-back and signing Gutierrez could go a long way towards solving the issue.
The 22-year-old, who has six assists this season, is rated around £30 million.
