A new candidate has emerged in the race to become the next Manchester United manager if Erik ten Hag leaves the club.
Ten Hag was placed under further pressure by United's 3-0 defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday.
He signed a new contract with the club in the summer after winning the FA Cup, but United have now picked up just seven points from their opening six Premier League games this term.

And coupled with the 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool, a loss to Spurs by the same scoreline has ensured that talk about the Dutchman's future is rife once again.
According to current odds, current United assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy is narrowly ahead of Gareth Southgate as the favourite to replace Ten Hag if a decision is made.
But a new face has seemingly entered discussions - Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi.

The 48-year-old, who is the younger brother of AC Milan and Italy legend Filippo, guided Inter to the Champions League final in 2023, where they lost to Manchester City in Istanbul.
Last season, his side won the Serie A title, and Inzaghi was named as the division's Manager of the Month on three separate occasions.
According to the Daily Star, United chiefs are said to be 'impressed' with the job Inzaghi has done in Milan, but have concerns over his style of play and would want him to be more attacking if he got the job at Old Trafford.

Inzaghi has also never managed outside of Italy, with his only previous senior managerial role being a five-year spell at Lazio between 2016 and 2021.
Another issue is that he signed a new contract with Inter in the summer, meaning it is unclear as to whether he would give that up.
But he has received high acclaim for his tactical acumen and achievements in Italy, and also worked with several United players including Andre Onana and Christian Eriksen.
