A Manchester United fan once drove over 400 miles to meet what he thought was his girlfriend - only to be pranked by Liverpool fans on arrival.
United and Liverpool meet in the FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Erik ten Hag's side keen to book their third Wembley appearance in two seasons.
Liverpool have already been to Wembley this season in winning the Carabao Cup, and are looking to go one better than United did last season by winning the FA Cup.

Naturally, the supporters don't enjoy a particularly good relationship - but a pair of Liverpool fans took that to an extreme back in 2009.
A 39-year-old United fan began talking to 'Emma' on Facebook, and ended up driving nine hours from his home in Sheffield to a remote farm in Scotland to continue the relationship in person.
However, when he arrived at the house, 'Emma' was nowhere to be found.

The two Liverpool fans then called him three hours later, confessing that the ruse had indeed been a trick.
The fans were already known to the United supporter, as they had met during a holiday in Cancun, Mexico that was arranged after he had finalised a divorce.
It was reported that the United fan was thrown into a swimming pool at one point, with the Liverpool fans plotting to then humiliate him by setting up a fake account and pretending to be a Scottish woman.
The original video, which has long since been deleted, revealed the moment that the Liverpool fans told him about the prank.

They asked: "Do you recognise our voices? It's them Scouse lads who threw you in the pool."
He replied: "Yes, I do." He was then told: "You've been framed," by the men, who then burst into laughter.
He told the Sheffield Star: "There's no doubt that I've been done good and proper by the lads from Liverpool.

"It was cruel but I'll hold my hands up and say they really wound me up.
"I'd been chatting to this girl on Facebook for about a month or so. I really thought she was genuine, and I had no reason to doubt it.
"On the night she asked me to Scotland, I was on the road for about nine hours. And then when I got to this remote farm, she sent me a text to say she was still in work.
"That's what made it worse. Not only had I driven for nine hours, but I had to wait for about another three and a half hours for her to finish work.

"Then when I got the call to say it was all a hoax, I just felt awful.
"If they had asked me to drive to Manchester, Leeds or even Liverpool it wouldn't have been so bad, and maybe I'd have seen the funny side. But to drag me all the way to Aberdeen was just cruel."
