The Red Devils goalkeeper also fumbled Thiago Almada's opener as he failed to keep out his free-kick in the first-half.
Man United fans on social media named the goalkeeper they want to replace Onana following his blunders in net.
Speaking after the game, Man United boss Ruben Amorim jumped to the defence of the 29-year-old.
"It's important to think about the next game. When one game has a mistake the whole team has a mistake," he told TNT Sports.

In his post-match press conference, he added: "If you look at the season I've made more mistakes than them during these last months. It can happen. The good thing is we have another game to change everything."
Lyon players also fielded questions from the media, including Cherki, who aimed a dig at Onana, becoming the second Lyon player to taunt him following Nemanja Matic's pre-match comments.
He referenced the Man United stopper's comments in the build-up by claiming Lyon were 'much better than' their opponents.

"We were much better than them (Manchester United)," he told reporters.
"We know they are a good team, but we have never been afraid of them and we will never be afraid of them."
Cherki added: "2nd leg? We will go there to attack."

He claims the club should think about replacing the Cameroon international in the summer and explained why Amorim has a 'problem' on his hands.
Asked whether Man United should replace Onana this summer, Scholes replied: "Yeah, I think it’s something they need to think about.
"But they need to look at the budget as well. Can you get away with not spending that money on a goalkeeper?
"He hasn’t been quite good enough but it will come down to money and what Amorim has got to spend."

He continued: "We’ve seen this goalkeeper do well at Inter Milan as well. But I don’t think his distribution has been great either, and that’s one of the reasons he was brought in.
"But can you almost get away with not spending another £40m on a goalkeeper? I don’t know. Ruben Amorim has a lot of problems to solve."
