Manchester United icon Dwight Yorke has expressed interest in replacing Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford if the Dutchman is sacked.
The Guardian reported on Friday that Ten Hag is set to part company with United regardless of the result of Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester City - although the club have made no comment on reports.
An exit would spell the end of a two-year spell at Old Trafford for the Dutchman, who won the Carabao Cup last season and secured Champions League qualification.

He has also brought through several youth prospects to become key players for United, including Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, but a Champions League group stage exit and an eighth-place Premier League finish appears to have been his downfall.
Among the favourites to replace Ten Hag if he is sacked include Ipswich boss and former United coach Kieran McKenna, who secured back-to-back promotions to the Premier League with the Tractor Boys.
Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel and the newly out-of-work Roberto De Zerbi have also been linked, as well as recently departed Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.

But in an interview with the Daily Mail, 1999 treble winner Yorke thinks he could do a job at Old Trafford - citing the success of one of his former team-mates.
He said (speaking via Fastest Payout Online Casinos): "The kind of character, the way I come across, know how to coach, the little learning experience I've got, the people I'm going to bring in to make that football club better in my backroom staff is very important.
"Manchester United is a job you can't turn down. It's too big a job. The DNA of football has been there.
"I've proved that I can manage in a short space of time in winning that [the Australia Cup with MacArthur FC).

"Trust me, if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can manage, I definitely could be a manager."
After retiring from football in 2009, the former Trinidad and Tobago forward completed all of his coaching badges, but wasn't given a full-time managerial role until July 2022.
Yorke applied three times for the Aston Villa job but did not make the shortlist, and was also interviewed by National League side Sutton in 2019.
His break came in May 2022, when he managed the Australian A-League All-Stars team to a narrow 3-2 friendly defeat to Barcelona.

Two months later, he was then appointed as head coach at A-League club Macarthur FC, winning 10 and drawing three of his 19 games before leaving via mutual consent.
They also won the 2022 Australian Cup under Yorke - their first-ever competitive trophy.
Macarthur were sixth in the A-League when Yorke left, but dropped down to 12th and last place by the end of the season.
The ex-United star claimed to Optus Sport that it was the club that decided to part company with him, and said he was 'very disappointed' to be leaving.

He added: "People above me made a decision which was right for them. In my opinion, it wasn't correct how things ended.
"I felt the players were... I won't say cheated, but we were doing well and looked like we'd be in the playoffs to win the grand final. It was an opportunity missed."
Yorke later confirmed to News Corp that he had labelled the club as a 'pub' and 'mickey mouse' team after a defeat - with those comments directed at the club's hierarchy. It had been reported by several outlets in Australia that those comments led to his departure.
