Jadon Sancho has risked angering the entire Man Utd fanbase after commenting on Marcus Rashford's social media post

Marcus Rashford has made his Aston Villa debut after joining on loan from Manchester United.

Jadon Sancho has got Manchester United fans talking after leaving a one-word comment on Marcus Rashford's social media post.

On Sunday afternoon, Rashford was included in Aston Villa's squad for the first time since moving to the club on loan for the rest of the 24/25 season.

Unai Emery's men welcomed Tottenham Hotspur to Villa Park as the two teams battled for a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Villa came away 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers. New signing Mathys Tel netted for the visitors.

With 67 minutes on the clock, Rashford made his Villa debut as he replaced Donyell Malen. Spaniard Marco Asensio was also given his first taste of Villa Park.

During his cameo, Rashford looked sharp as he produced some moments of brilliance, leaving fans impressed with his performance.

After the match, the 27-year-old took to social media and wrote: "Thank you for the warm welcome. Great team performance."

Reacting to Sancho's comment, one fan said: "Wow. Now another perspective to this situation."

Another tweeted: "Good riddance. Glad they have the freedom to take their toxicity to another club."

A third fan added: "We all need that freedom. Hojlund and Zirzkee are in shackles currently."

Someone else joked: "Fans are taking this wrong. Sancho is just saying how he feels FREEDOM from FA Cup after being knocked out by Brighton."

A fifth commented: "Wearing the United shirt is heavy and can't be handled by everyone."

Touching on Rashford's debut, Villa boss Emery said after the match: "Andres Garcia and Malen both played in the idea we had. They were consistent and focused.

"As well, Marcus Rashford and Asensio, we watched their skill and how they helped us and will help us again in the next months in the different competitions we will face."

Villa are back in action this weekend when they take on Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
