Jadon Sancho has seemingly leapt to the defence of former Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford.
Sancho, 24, is currently on loan at Chelsea, having spent the second half of the 2023/24 season at Borussia Dortmund after falling out with then-United boss Erik ten Hag.
His former United teammate Rashford, 27, has been the subject of widespread speculation from fans, media and ex-players in recent weeks after he was left out of United’s 20-man matchday squad ahead of their 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday.
Since then, Rashford revealed that he is “ready for a new challenge” when speaking with journalist Henry Winter this week. The England international was once again omitted from Amorim's squad for the 4-3 Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat against Spurs on Thursday evening.

On Friday, ESPN posted a graphic containing Ian Wright’s defence of Rashford.
“I got to Arsenal at 28, but you expect ME to write off someone with the ability Marcus [Rashford] has at 27!!!!” Wright commented on a video posted to The Overlap’s Instagram page.
"So many of you are desperate to see these young people fail so that you can say you were right!”

Sancho then commented on ESPN’s post, simply posting a 'speaking' and ‘100’ emoji, seemingly in agreement with the former Arsenal forward’s take.
In the latest episode of The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, Wright once again defended Rashford after Gary Neville asked him if the United man would improve Arsenal's goalscoring options.
"I think he has that capability," said Wright.
“27 is not a age to be writing someone off," he added.

"He has the capability.”
“I think he is somebody in a different dressing room with a different environment around him, he has the ability," explained the former Arsenal man.
Since being left out of Amorim's squad the United forward has been linked with several clubs with Al-Ittihad emerging as a potential destination earlier this week.
However, there is one club in particular that are heavy favourites to sign the 27-year-old.

PSG have been linked with a move for Rashford, whose current United contract is set to run until the summer of 2028.
It has been suggested that out-of-favour forward Randal Kolo Muani could go the other way or left-back Nuno Mendes may be used as part of a 'swap deal'.
