David De Gea made reference to his time at Manchester United following his incredible double penalty save performance for Fiorentina against AC Milan.
The 33-year-old joined the Serie A side in August after being a free agent for over a year following a difficult spell under Erik ten Hag in 2023.
The year away from the top level doesn't appear to have had too much of an impact on De Gea after he put on a dazzling seven-save display in Fiorentina's 2-1 over Milan.

Fiorentina managed to claim all three points despite missing a penalty themselves in the first half through former Everton striker Moise Kean.
However, it was De Gea who stole the show by denying both Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham from 12 yards.
In first-half stoppage time, De Gea guessed right to deny Hernandez' left-footed strike and he then replicated his heroics in the second half, this time diving to the opposite side to deny the former Chelsea striker with a strong one-handed save.

The outstanding display was just De Gea's fourth Serie A appearance since making the move and his fifth overall after making his debut in the Europa Conference League play-off.
Following the match De Gea took to social media to celebrate the impressive result and couldn't help but reference his past in his post.
The goalkeeper wrote on X: "Started in Spain, made in Manchester, loving it in Italy."
While it may simply be because they don't have anything of their own to celebrate, United fans were quick to show De Gea some love for his performance.
