Manchester City are reportedly readying a bid for a Serie A star as they look to add even more signings to their ranks in January.
City are said to be closing in a double deal for young defenders Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis from RC Lens and Palmeiras respectively, bolstering a backline that has been anything but its usual solid self this season.
The Premier League champions are also reported to be progressing towards doing a deal for another top target, with Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport claiming that City have reached an "agreement in principle" with Eintracht Frankfurt over the transfer of talisman Omar Marmoush.

Final details over the move are set to be discussed and Fabrizio Romano claims City are confident it will all be completed.
City only acquired two new players in the summer, signing Savinho from sister club Troyes and bringing back Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer.
However, the club are now desperately addressing the poor squad planning in the summer and it doesn't look like their January business will be ending just yet.

On Thursday, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that City are closing in on the signing of Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso and are preparing to offer a fee between €60-65 million for the 24-year-old.
The former Genoa player has been extremely impressive for the Bianconeri under Thiago Motta, playing 25 times in all competitions.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Arsenal have been linked with him previously but City look to be the frontrunners for his signature.

The Italy international extended his contract with Juventus in May 2024 but City look likely to snap him up. Cambiaso's versatility could be hugely beneficial for City as he can play on both the left and right side of defence.
He would effectively be a replacement for City captain Kyle Walker, who has asked the club to leave in the middle of the season and has interest from AC Milan.
"Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad at the end of his career," he said prior to the draw against Brentford, as per Sky Sports.
"In his mind, he would like to explore it, to go to another country, to play the last years [somewhere else] for many reasons."
