Bernardo Silva rages at 'completely crazy' schedule in explosive interview after revealing news Man City have just received

Bernardo Silva isn't happy with the fixture congestion as Manchester City face a busy September.

Bernardo Silva has hit out at the 'absurd' schedule after revealing the news Manchester City have just received in an explosive interview.

Silva is on international duty with Portugal as he started his national side's 2-1 UEFA Nations League victory over Croatia on Thursday as Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 900th goal of his legendary career.

Once he returns to the Etihad, a busy club schedule is on the cards, with games in three different competitions slated this month.

Man City have big Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup fixtures, which includes meetings against the likes of Arsenal and Inter Milan.

The Blues host their domestic rivals on September 22 then entertain Championship outfit Watford just TWO days later as they resume their Carabao Cup campaign in a decision that has been recently relayed to the club.

The quick turnaround has angered Silva, who has made his feelings known about the 'completely crazy' schedule.

"The schedule is completely crazy. We've just received the news that we only have one day off for the English League Cup game," he exclaimed.

"We’ll probably play every three days for months. It's been absolutely absurd."

On the new-look Champions League format, the 30-year-old added: "In the Champions League, if you don't qualify for the round of 16 you still have to play two more games.

"It's true that the squads are bigger, but I'm not going to say that it's easy.

"It hasn't been easy. I spend very little time with my family and friends. The amount of games we're subjected to is absolutely absurd."

Silva's concerns over fixture congestion comes after his intense workload since moving to Man City.

He's played 50+ games in five seasons since his transfer from AS Monaco back in the summer of 2017.

Last season, he made 49 appearances, having played 55 games in his team's treble-winning campaign.
