Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has named who he believes is the best player in the Premier League right now.
Shaw, 28, is currently away with the England national team after receiving a shock call-up from Gareth Southgate despite suffering with injury for much of the 2023/24 season.
The left-back suffered a muscle injury at the beginning of the season, which was aggravated again back in February as he went on to miss 34 games in total due to the setback.

Shaw is now battling back to regain fitness for England's opening game of the tournament against Serbia on June 16 but will be cautious with the comeback, after pushing himself too hard in the past.
“I felt something against Aston Villa and came off at half-time at Villa Park,” Shaw said on his most recent injury setback.
“It’s kind of everyone’s fault. Partly my fault, partly medical staff, I think everyone would admit that. I didn’t train the whole week.

"The scan came back and there wasn’t too much there. But I didn’t train all week, then trained the day before the game. If the manager asks me to play, I’m never going to say no. I shouldn’t have played.”
During his time on the sidelines, Shaw has had ample time to watch the vast majority of the 2023/24 Premier League season unfold.
Speaking to GOAL, the United man was recently asked which star he classed as the best player in the top flight of English football currently.

Shaw wasted no time in giving his answer, naming Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard as the player he considers to be the best in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old Norwegian playmaker was named the Gunners' Player of the Season earlier this week after another stellar campaign.
He recorded eight goals and 10 assists across his 35 appearances last season, as Arsenal fell short to Manchester City in their search for Premier League glory once again. Mikel Arteta's side finished two points shy of City in first place.
