Harry Kane has named the two toughest defenders he has faced in his career so far.
England captain Kane is one of the country’s finest-ever goalscorers having notched over 200 Premier League goals when he was playing for Tottenham Hotspur.
The 30-year-old is also England’s record goalscorer after netting 62 goals for the Three Lions.
Speaking back in August 2022 to celebrate 10 years since making his Premier League debut, Kane answered questions from fans on social media.

He wrote on his Instagram page: “Today is 10 years since my Premier League debut…time flies! Got a bit of spare time later so going to answer some of your questions. Reply to this and I’ll respond to some a bit later on…”
Kane then went on to answer a question about the toughest defenders he has faced in his career so far. The first named by Kane was former England and Chelsea star, John Terry. There was also a mention of the Italian great Giorgio Chiellini.
Kane said in a video: “There are a few who have been the toughest I have faced in my career.

“Early on facing John Terry, [he was] just a really smart defender, knew where to put his body, knew how to stop my runs, so that was a great learning curve.”
He continued: “And then Chiellini, I obviously played against him against Italy and against Juventus.
“Again, really smart, strong, and physical.”

The Englishman went on to answer other questions regarding different topics, including what it’s like to play alongside South Korean superstar Son Heung Min, who Kane labelled as a ‘fantastic player and a fantastic person’.
When asked who was the best player he has ever played with, Kane named former Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney as his choice.
In the summer of 2023, Kane left the Premier League behind as he moved from Spurs to German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
