Liverpool are reportedly preparing to launch a stunning pursuit for a world class player, and they're prepared to swap Darwin Nunez as part of the deal.
After an exciting match against Aston Villa ended in a disappointing 2-2 draw, Liverpool fans took to social media to criticise Nunez for his failure to score a huge chance late in the game.
Having replaced Diogo Jota shortly after the hour mark, the striker was handed a gift of a chance as Dominik Szoboszlai found him just metres out from an open goal, yet Nunez failed to get his shot on target.

The moment appears to highlight Liverpool's need to bring in a new forward in the summer, and new report has claimed that they are even willing to include Nunez as part of a deal to secure their ideal candidate.
Ahead of the mouth-watering clash with defending Premier League champions Manchester City, Liverpool manager Arne Slot called out Nunez for his behaviour during the match against Aston Villa.
In response, the 25-year-old took to social media to defend himself and make a statement to both Slot and Liverpool fans criticising him.

But it appears that Slot may have had enough, as a report from Football Insider has revealed that Liverpool are currently exploring using the Uruguayan international as part of a deal for highly-regarded Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
As it stands, the Geordie club reportedly value their star forward at £100million-plus and will be reluctant to let him go because of his importance to the team.

Since arriving from La Liga side Real Sociedad, for a reported club-record fee of £63million back in 2022, Isak has scored 54 goals and registered nine assists across 96 appearances for Newcastle United.

Meanwhile Nunez, who joined Liverpool from Benfica in the same window from Benfica for a reported fee of £85m, has scored 39 goals and assisted 22 in 130 appearances.
However, even if Newcastle can be brought to the negotiating table over a deal for the Sweden international, Liverpool will face stiff competition from Arsenal, as the London club also hopes to sign the star to address their glaring need for a new striker.
