A Liverpool star has suffered an injury scare days before the European Championships are due to kick off in Germany, with his replacement in training being the kit man.
Scotland got their Euro 2024 campaign underway against hosts Germany in Munich on Friday, and ahead of the game they encountered their latest and potentially most serious injury scare.
It has been widely reported, including by the Guardian, that Liverpool star Andy Robertson was forced out of training on Monday, while Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland was also unable to complete the public session in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Physios reportedly raced onto the pitch during a warm-up box drill, with Robertson the subject of their attention.
The Scotland skipper was then led from the pitch, with his place at left back taken for the rest of the session by Aidan McIlduff, a former Celtic youth player who is now a Scotland kit man.
The Scottish Football Association have suggested the move was purely precautionary while Robertson appeared in good spirits when speaking to backroom staff shortly after.

While no further information was given Steve Clarke’s No.2 John Carver is due to address the media at lunch.
Scotland has been hit with a spate of injury problems ahead of the tournament, with Lyndon Dykes removed from the Scotland squad after suffering an ankle injury in training and Ben Doak also deemed unable to travel to Germany.
Clarke has also been unable to call on the services of Lewis Ferguson, Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson and Jacob Brown.
