France have suffered a major injury scare ahead of Euro 2024.
Les Bleus received an injury scare ahead of the European Championships in Germany, with Bayern Munich centre-back Dayot Upamecano being forced off through injury during their pre-tournament friendly against Luxembourg.
Upamecano started alongside Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate as France went on to claim a comfortable 3-0 victory.

However, Upamecano did not return to the pitch after half-time, with Didier Deschamps opting to replace him with Arsenal’s William Saliba in what appeared to be a precautionary move.
French broadcaster TF1 revealed that Upamecano had been taken off after reporting discomfort in his left thigh.
While the severity of Upamecano’s injury has not yet been ascertained, tests in the coming hours and days are set to follow.

It will be a cause of concern for France, who have just one more warm-up game against Canada before kicking off their Euro 2024 campaign against Austria on June 17.
France’s squad includes World Cup winner N'Golo Kante, who until yesterday had not represented his country since June 2022 and currently plays for Saudi club Al-Ittihad, while Paris Saint-Germain youngsters Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola have also been selected.
Furthermore, Deschamps has named star forwards Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud in his squad.
France are among the pre-tournament favourites as they look to claim a third European crown, having previously lifted the trophy in 1984 and 2000.
