Liverpool are reported to be lining up a potential summer replacement for defender Andy Robertson.
Arne Slot is yet to make a signing at the club citing the need to first assess his options in terms of squad depth.
Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are all out of contract next summer with there a consensus the Reds are in need of extra bodies ahead of the new season.
According to reports from The Sun, the Merseysiders are lining up a potential move for one player who has continued to shine at the Olympics.

Julio Soler made four appearances at the Games before Argentina were knocked out by France in the quarter-finals and would be available at a cheap price.
Currently plying his trade for Argentine Primera Division club Lanus, Soler made 21 appearances in a breakthrough season during 2023/24.
Roberson and fellow left-back Kostas Tsimikas are known to be injury prone and bringing in another option could potentially help to lessen the load.

The report further states that Lanus would accept a fee of £13million for the 19-year-old, which the Reds could look to push ahead with this summer.
Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes Slot will have to hit the ground running on Merseyside amid claims transfers are now being left perhaps a little too late.
“It will be tough for him, with expectations and everything else," Owen recently told FourFourTwo.
"I think there needs to be signs of playing good football. We’ll see quite early on the style of play and how exciting it is on the eye. In the long term, you’d have to think that they have to be competitive."
Owen added: "I mean, it’s alright giving managers time, but he does walk into a very good squad already and a very good club that’s very stable at the moment.

“So, say, they come fifth and don’t win a trophy, and saying ‘Oh yeah, it’s just building blocks’, well no, the building blocks have been put in place. I think that winning something obviously would be perfect. If they don’t win anything, they’ve got to be challenging. They’ve got to be in the conversation.”
