Jamie Carragher has pointed the blame at another Liverpool player instead of Steven Gerrard when discussing Demba Ba's infamous goal in April 2014.
With three games left of the 2013/14 campaign, Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool side came up against Chelsea in what was seen as a potentially title-winning clash.
At the time, the Reds were flying on an eleven-game winning streak and sat three points clear of Manchester City.

It was, without doubt, the perfect moment to stretch their lead in the title race. They knew a draw would be a good result and a win would knock Jose Mourinho's Chelsea out of contention.
But in a disastrous moment for the leaders, Steven Gerrard miscontrolled a pass from Mamadou Sakho and slipped trying to rectify his mistake.
It allowed Demba Ba to latch onto the ball and slot it past Simon Mignolet, who rushed off his line to try and narrow the angle.

Mignolet has never really absorbed the blame for Ba's effort until this week, when Jamie Carragher gave his take on the moment during the latest Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet.
“I still blame Simon Mignolet for that goal with Demba Ba," the former Liverpool defender said. "He was so straight going through on goal, there was nowhere he could put it except through the keeper’s legs.
"He was running so straight on goal that I think it was difficult to score and there was nowhere else he could go.”
Chelsea would go on to win the game 2-0 after Willian netted in injury time, and Liverpool would fall at the last hurdle as Manchester City secured another title.

For Gerrard, it was a moment he will never forget. In fact, back in 2020, the former England international admitted the slip still haunts him.
"I park it up but it comes back, all the time," he told The High Performance Podcast. "What triggers it? I don't know. TV. Images. Just me reflecting. I am someone who thinks a lot. I always try to tap into experiences.
"This is not a thing that happens every single day, but it was such a big moment. I've had lots and lots of moments, some incredible moments, which I never dreamed of.
"But your career takes you to some lows as well. It would be easy if you lifted the carpet, pushed them under and you never thought about them again. But I don't think that's ever going to be the case."

Gerrard went on to describe how the moment not only affected himself, but those connected with the football club.
"I know not only did it hurt me, it hurt a lot of people who had followed this club for many, many years.
"Liverpool fans commit themselves to that club. They love the club, it's in the heart. I've lived with it for 20 years and more.

"I knew what that meant, that Premier League (title), to an awful lot of people. My own family, to me. I mean, the way the club were with me, during that time, which will remain private."
