Jamie Carragher has told Liverpool to replace Mohamed Salah with a current Premier League star if the star forward leaves Anfield this summer.
Salah has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with his existing deal set to expire at the end of the season.
Talks over a move to Saudi Arabia have re-emerged following Al Ittihad's pursuit for him last summer, which included a monstrous bid that was rejected.
If Salah does indeed end his legendary association with Liverpool this summer, then Carragher has put forward a name that his old side should pursue as a replacement.

Carragher believes Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo fits the bill as an ideal replacement, revealing he is a 'huge fan' of the Cameroonian international.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: "You feel with Brentford signings or Brighton because they're ahead of the game, everyone is always a little bit, 'What do they know that we missed?'
"You see them do well at those clubs then you think can they do a job for our clubs? They're ahead of the game for bringing them in, the metrics and he's certainly one of them. I think of my old club with the situation regarding Mohamed Salah, a left-footed player on the right side, who can fit the bill?"

Carragher added: "He [Mbeumo] is someone whose name that always crops up because of his ability and the club he is at. The things they look at are probably similar to Liverpool. (I'm a) Huge fan of his, huge problem and he caused Liverpool huge problems last weekend."
What has Bryan Mbeumo said about a transfer?
Mbeumo has been strongly linked with a move away from Brentford following his stellar performances in the Premier League.
He was snapped up from French side Troyes and helped Brentford earn promotion to England's top flight in 2021.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed four seasons in the Premier League and is on course to register the most prolific campaign of his career, having already scored 14 league goals this term.
Last May, he spoke about the constant transfer speculation.
"I have spent five years at Brentford, at a club that has allowed me to grow and pass a milestone but yes, I would like to play in the biggest competitions, at the best clubs. It is tantalising to see some big clubs interested in me," he said. "We will see."
