Gary Lineker has delighted Liverpool fans with his post about Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is one of the deadliest forwards in world football at presenting, having fired Napoli to a first Scudetto in 33 years last season.
The Nigerian has been heavily linked with a number of top European clubs, though recently signed a new contract which brought a new release clause of €130 million.
Osimhen was named African Footballer of the Year last season and in a new feature, The Athletic have crowned him "the continent's best player".

However, while that is factually correct given the former England striker Lineker was not having it one bit.
The BBC Match of the Day podcast felt the need to reply to the official account on X and though he rates Osimhen, he was adamant that Mo Salah is still the top dog in Africa.
Lineker wrote: "Great though he is, I fear you have forgotten a certain @MoSalah."

A second said: "Cook Gary"

A fourth commented: "@GaryLineker knows ball."
Both Osimhen and Salah have featured for their respective sides at the Africa Cup of Nations, though neither were able to taste an opening game victory.
The duo were on target, however, with Osimhen scoring for Nigeria against Equatorial Guinea and Salah, who has been playing as a No.10, notching a last-minute penalty to equalise for Egypt against Mozambique.
