Liverpool have broken the internet in confirming Mo Salah will be staying at the club after signing a new contract as a respected reporter reveals how much he will be earning.
Salah's future has been the subject of constant speculation throughout the season and at one point the Egyptian said he was "more out than in".
However, positive progress was made in negotiations and on Friday morning, the Reds announced Salah had put pen to paper on a new deal with the wording, "He's staying" accompanied by a picture of the Egyptian on a throne and the text, "More in than out".
The former Roma man joined in 2017 and after scoring 243 goals, is now poised to spend a decade on Merseyside as he bids to break even more records at Anfield.
In an article on the club's official website, Salah explained his decision to sign on the dotted line.
Salah said: "Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.
“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.
“I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.”
Under the Fenway Sports Group ownership, Liverpool have had a policy in place where they do not offer extensions for players above the age of 30.
But with Salah still in incredible shape and enjoying the best season of his career, with 32 goals and 22 assists, the club have made an exception.

Salah's last contract saw him pocket a club-record £350,000-a-week and there were suggestions that an extension would see him take a sizeable pay cut.
However, according to respected reporter Ismael Mahmoud, there will in fact be a 12.5 percent increase on Salah's weekly pay packet.
The journalist, who is believed to be close with Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, took to X to write: "We heard that Salah’s potential salary in the new contract would be a fixed £400,000 per week.”
In addition, Ben Jacobs of talkSPORT said that Salah has not taken a salary reduction but did not shed light on his new wages.
The deal looks set to be the most lucrative in Liverpool's history but it will pale in comparison to what he would have earned in the Saudi Pro League.
It was reported he was offered a mammoth £65 million payday but the ex Chelsea star clearly has unfinished business in European football.
