Liverpool supporters online have hit out against fans in Anfield who sang a specific chant during the Champions League clash with Lille.
On Tuesday night, Liverpool secured their place in the Champions League round of 16 with a 2-1 win over Ligue 1 side Lille at Anfield.
As is often the case, Anfield was rocking throughout the game, willing their side on as they look to continue the impressive from that has led to them topping both the Premier League and Champions League.

However, some fans who attended the match have been criticised for signing a disrespectful chant during the game, and supporters on social media are not happy.
Despite the fact that their side was behind for most of the game, Lille fans made their presence known, supporting the players with songs and chants throughout the match.
In particular, after star striker Jonathan David found the back of the net shortly after the hour mark, equalising the score following Mohamed Salah's earlier goal, the Lille fans were especially loud.

But, unfortunately for fans of the French side, just five minutes after the equaliser, Harvey Elliott once again put Liverpool in front, leading to some Liverpool fans chanting 'You're not singing anymore' to the Lille supporters.
Reacting to the chant, one angry Liverpool fan wrote on X: "Anyone who started singing “you’re not singing anymore” should be identified and banned from Anfield."
Another agreed, adding: "Lower Anny making an absolute show of themselves with ‘You’re not singing anymore’ bantz towards the Lille fans who’ve been brilliant."

While one added: "You're not singing any more" chant the LFC fans who don't go the game often."
And one wrote: "Immediate Gulag for anyone who did the “you’re not singing anymore” chant there."
Despite the chants, Lille fans remained in high spirits ahead of their crucial match against Feyenoord next week, which will decide whether or not they make it into the top eight sides that automatically progress to the round of 16.
Liverpool will play Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in their final Champions League group stage match, with a win or draw meaning they are guaranteed to finish top of the table.
