Liverpool have broken a club record that has stood for almost 20 years after their 2-1 win over Lille in the Champions League.
Arne Slot's side entered the evening at Anfield knowing that a point would secure top spot in the Champions League group stages.
The Reds took a first half lead through Mohamed Salah's composed finish, and would have felt even more confident of another three points in the Champions League after Lille defender Aissa Mandi was shown a second yellow card for bringing down Luis Diaz.

But the French side - who were on a club-record unbeaten run of 21 games heading into the clash - equalised on 62 minutes through Jonathan David.
Prior to the equaliser, Liverpool had set a club record of their own that hadn't been broken since the 2005/06 season when Rafael Benitez was charge.
The Reds went past 572 minutes without conceding a goal in European competition, with their previous goal conceded being against AC Milan on matchday one.

They would fall narrowly short of the 600-minute mark due to David's equaliser, but Slot's side did go back in front on 67 minutes through Harvey Elliott.
Darwin Nunez later thought he had made it 3-1 but the flag was raised for offside by the assistant referee.
The result means Liverpool have finished on top spot in the Champions League group stage - although they could still face one of the toughest ties possible in the last 16 given the volatility of results in the new eight-game format.
They are also still the only side with a 100 per cent record having won seven games in a row.

Speaking to Amazon Prime after the game, Slot said: "I knew Lille were 21 games unbeaten. They beat Real Madrid, they beat Atletico Madrid.
"And, without any disrespect, they don't do this with the best players in the world. So that tells you they're very well organised and difficult to play through. And it's a hard-working team.
"It was not so easy, so I was really pleased with the patience we had. Not forcing difficult passes, but just keeping the ball, having complete dominance. The only thing I wasn't happy about is that, for a few weeks now, one chance conceded, one goal conceded."
