Liverpool’s win at Crystal Palace saw Arne Slot achieve something that no Reds boss has previously been able to.
Diogo Jota’s finish on nine minutes was enough to secure all three points at Selhurst Park.
The win kept Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Manchester City unable to catch them even if they win this weekend.

Despite not being the most convincing performance, caveated with Alisson going off injured with around 12 minutes to go, it was a pleasant afternoon for Slot’s side.
The victory was Slot’s ninth since taking charge of Liverpool, a number never achieved before by any Liverpool manager in their first 10 games at the club, according to OptaJoe.
The only blot on the Dutch manager’s record was a shock home defeat to Nottingham Forest in September, but since then, results have been perfect in the Premier League as well as the two Champions League wins – against AC Milan and Bologna.

If you compare this with Slot’s predecessor, Jurgen Klopp’s first 10 matches in charge, the German saw his side win six games, draw three and lose one - a record inferior to Slot’s so far.
Looking back even further into the archives, even the great Bob Paisley won six, lost three and drew one of his first 10 league games in charge of Liverpool during the 1974-75 season.
Several other stats impressed fans on Saturday afternoon, as Liverpool are now the only Premier League team yet to concede a goal in the first-half of a game this season.

Plus, Slot became just one of three other managers to have won their first four away games in charge of a Premier League side - joining Luiz Felipe Scolari, John Gregory and Bobby Gould in an elite list.
Speaking after the victory in south London, Slot seemed pleased.
“The fixtures are difficult, but I’ve also felt how difficult Wolves away is and how difficult Crystal Palace away is," he said. “We will probably not be as dominant as we were today. Both fixtures were difficult, and it’s very good that we won these games, it’s up to us to show ourselves in the big games as well.”
