The match started with a bang as Danny Welbeck opened the scoring in the second minute, but as it has been proven many times scoring early at Anfield is no guarantee of points as Liverpool came back to win 2-1.
Jurgen Klopp's victory takes his side to the top of the league table by two points following the draw between Man City and Arsenal, putting them in pole position for their second-ever Premier League title.
One of the key absentees from the Liverpool XI was Trent Alexander-Arnold who was again missing from the side, but Murray was extremely impressed with Conor Bradley who again deputised for the English defender.
