Jurgen Klopp has reacted to the news that Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have sold a minority stake.
On Thursday afternoon, it was confirmed that global sports investment firm Dynasty Equity has completed a minor investment in the Anfield club.
According to different reports, the stake Dynasty Equity has taken in Liverpool is estimated to be worth around £80-£160 million.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, Klopp reacted to the news.

He said: “I can understand money in football is about spending, I am part of that as well. At this moment we have rebuilt a new stand which will improve the best atmosphere in the world. Main Stand, AXA, Melwood back..lot of stuff to keep club healthy.
“It's not that we need a budget for £200m for the better place we're in the more we can spend. No CL is a massive blow but we improved the team anyway, which is difficult but possible. But [Dynasty] is good news. Money will be well used.”
On the back of the new investment, Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon said: “Our long-term commitment to Liverpool remains as strong as ever. We have always said that if there is an investment partner that is right for Liverpool then we would pursue the opportunity to help ensure the club’s long-term financial resiliency and future growth.

“We look forward to building upon the long-standing relationship with Dynasty to further strengthen the club’s financial position and sustain our ambitions for continued success on and off the pitch.”
Dynasty Equity executive chairman, Jonathan M. Nelson said: “We are honoured to partner with FSG and support the remarkable legacy of Liverpool in a strategic partnership that builds upon mutual respect and deep relationships among our respective teams.”
