Kate Abdo’s fiance Malik Scott has posted on Instagram for the first time since Jamie Carragher was criticised for making comments on-air about the couple.
Abdo presents Champions League coverage on CBS Sports in the United States alongside Thierry Henry, Micah Richards and Carragher, with the group’s laid-back, comic approach often leading to viral clips.
But on Tuesday Carragher crossed a line when joking about Abdo’s relationship, which led to massive commotion online.

The former England defender, who was wearing an Arsenal shirt, told Abdo and Henry they would have to wear the jersey next. Abdo, however, went on to insist she is "loyal to Manchester United, thank you very much."
Carragher quickly quipped back "Not to Malik", which was immediately met with silence from his colleagues. Clearly miffed, Abdo replied: "Why would you even say that?"
The following day however, Abdo quelled a growing chorus of criticism, by opening the show with a classy piece to camera in which she admitted Carragher’s comments had "gone too far" but stressed she had been apologised to.

Describing the three pundits as her "brothers", Abdo said Henry "always says the right thing" and is the "big brother we all look up to and aspire to".
On Carragher, Abdo said, is "the middle child [who has] the chip on his shoulder, capable of saying anything for attention". She continued: "Does he go too far sometimes? Absolutely. Does he apologise? Yes he does. But all of us have that one annoying family member that we still love and accept."
Abdo then described Richards as a "loud but loveable ... little bro" who is "everybody’s favourite."
