Jose Mourinho 'agrees' two-year deal to return to management

Jose Mourinho has agreed a two-year deal to return to management, it has been claimed.

Jose Mourinho has agreed a two-year deal to return to management, it has been claimed.

Mourinho has been out of work since being sacked by Roma back in January.

He has since drawn links to Saudi Pro League clubs and international jobs.

However, Sky Sports' Gianluca Di Marzio has alleged that Mourinho has reached an agreement with Turkish club Fenerbahce on a 2 year contract.

Fener sporting director Mario Branco has allegedly been key to making the move possible with the switch expected to be officially announced by the Turkish giants later today.

Besiktas had also been linked with a deal for the former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach.

Fener finished second in the Turkish Super Lig, three points behind bitter rivals

Galatasaray despite claiming some 99 points and losing one league game all campaign.

Fener have their presidential elections on the horizon, and both candidates had reportedly identified Mourinho as the perfect candidate to become the club's next manager.

The 61-year-old will link up with former Roma striker Edin Dzeko at Fener.

Mourinho has been vocal about his desire for an immediate return to management.

“I’m ready to start,” he told Fabrizio Romano back in March.

“And sometimes when you are in a club and feel the need of a rest, a think, to process things. In this case, one day after I left [Roma], I was ready to go.

“I feel strong, I feel good. I love the work. I’m really ready, but I don’t want to make the wrong choice. I cannot accept something just because of the feeling and just because of the passion to be back, so I have to be patient.

“We are in March. Is something going to happen in March, April? It’s very difficult. My objective is to start next summer.”
