Jermaine Jenas' wife Ellie Penfold has spoken out for the first time since her husband was sacked by the BBC for sending inappropriate messages to other women.
Jenas, 41, was sacked by the BBC last month following an internal investigation into his workplace conduct.
The former Tottenham and England footballer, who presented The One Show and regularly appeared on Match of the Day, was axed following claims he acted inappropriately with several female colleagues.

Jenas later apologised for his behaviour, admitting he sent inappropriate texts to colleagues despite being married to his wife, with whom he has three children, for 13 years.
More allegations have since been made against Jenas, with two further women accusing the presenter of sending them unsolicited sexual messages.
A spokesperson for Jenas has not denied the authenticity of the messages but has rejected that they were unsolicited.

"Jermaine denies that these messages were unsolicited and it is disappointing that it has taken seven years for these accusations to come to light," read a statement.
"Jermaine has already apologised for his past actions and is currently taking time to focus on his family."
Penfold, who married Jenas in 2011, has now taken to social media for the first time since news of the scandal broke.
The former model did not address her husband's infidelity, but instead unveiled "something very special" she's been working on for the past three years.

Penfold announced the launch of Preppy Skin, a personal care brand aimed at children and teens.
Taking to Instagram, she posted: "As a mother of 4, I knew that there was a gap for something immersive, fun but also (and most importantly to my eldest). Has to look amazing for her Get ready with me routines!
She added: "The collection begins with personal care products, with an incredible pipeline of future products.
"Every product has been tried, tested and approved from the packaging, scents, formulations, and of course the name PREPPY! ! We can not wait to finally launch this brand, and reveal all next month!"

The Mirror report that Penfold still has the phrase 'mother and a wife' in her Instagram bio, suggesting her relationship with Jenas may not be over.
In an interview with The Sun last month, Jenas opened up on the moment he decided to admit his behaviour to his wife after finding out he would be sacked by the BBC.
He said: "I was obviously hoping that I maybe would have got a suspension of some sort. I had to tell her by Monday evening because I knew then that I'd been fired.

"I just said, 'I've been sacked from the BBC'.
"She said, 'What for?', and I said, 'For sending text messages that weren't appropriate to two girls'.
"Ellie is absolutely raging. She's human. When I see her now, she is just making sure the children are OK."
Jenas added that he had been kicked out of the bedroom the couple shared at their home in Hertfordshire, and also admitted he did not know if his wife would forgive him for his actions.
In addition to the BBC, talkSPORT has also dropped Jenas in the wake of the scandal.
However, TNT Sports is yet to confirm if Jenas will continue working for the broadcaster.
