A report has published new details surrounding the BBC's dismissal of Jermaine Jenas after he was sacked by the corporation following complaints about workplace conduct.
The 41-year-old former Newcastle United and Spurs midfielder, who presented The One Show and appeared on Match of the Day, has been taken off air from both primetime shows.
His contract was terminated because of alleged issues relating to workplace behaviour, according to the BBC, after 'issues involving digital communications such as texts' were raised with the corporation a few weeks ago.

On Thursday afternoon, a report from The Sun emerged that suggests Jenas has been sacked by the BBC following complaints of 'inappropriate behaviour'.
A source said: "This is a categorical nightmare for the BBC. A complaint was raised concerning Jermaine's behaviour. After some immediate routine enquiries the decision was taken to take him off air, and terminate his contract.
"The BBC's new Director of Sport Alex Kay-Jelski has been heavily involved in this whole process, and is adamant that his new house is firmly in order, and there are no skeletons.
"At present, the feeling is he won't be back on the BBC."
Jenas, meanwhile, is 'battling' to clear his name and sources close to the former England international say he is unhappy with the BBC's decision.

In fact, Jenas has said there are "two sides to every story".
Now, a report from The Mirror has suggested that the former Queens Park Rangers midfielder has been sacked over claims of 'unsolicited inappropriate texts involving a female employee of The One Show'.
A source via the publication added: “It’s a very sensitive landscape at the BBC at the moment with the various scandals that have beset it of late. Any hint of workplace misconduct and they needed to come down on like a ton of bricks.”

In a statement shared by a spokesperson to The Sun, Jenas made his feelings clear.
"Right now I can't talk about it," he said. "I can tell you I'm not happy - there are two sides to every story - and I’m going to be speaking with my lawyers on the issue."
A mural featuring Jenas alongside BBC Sport colleagues Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Alex Scott is said to have been removed from Media City HQ in Manchester.
The presenter, who earned around £190,000 at the BBC for his work on the FA Cup, Match of the Day and the World Cup, has previously been tipped to replace Gary Lineker on Match of the Day.

SPORTbible has contacted Jenas' representatives, as well as the BBC, who have released a statement. A BBC spokesperson said: “We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line up.”
TalkSPORT have also issued a statement, saying: "We were made aware of a breaking news story involving Jermaine Jenas as he went on air for a one-off presenting slot on talkSPORT Drive.
"We made a decision - with Jermaine - that he should continue to present the show.
"Given the array of serious allegations being reported as the story continues to evolve, it's for Jermaine as a private individual to address them in the way he chooses.
