Germany are close to announcing their new manager amid the sacking of Hansi Flick earlier this month.
According to Sport Bild's Christian Falk on Twitter, and corroborated by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Julian Nagelsmann is set to take the reins of the German national team.
Romano claimed on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter: "German DFB now close to completing the formal agreement to appoint Julian Nagelsmann as new head coach of the national team, as @cfbayern reported today.

"Details being discussed on salary as he will take pay cut — Bayern are prepared to terminate Julian’s contact."
Flick was sacked as Germany manager following a 4-1 friendly defeat by Japan in Wolfsburg earlier this month.
In turn, the former Bayern Munich boss becomes the first Germany manager to be sacked since the role was created in 1926.
Germany had lost four of their past five games, with Flick overseeing just 12 wins in his 25 matches since replacing Joachim Low in August 2021.
The following game, under Rudi Voller's caretaker management, Germany beat World Cup finalists France 2-1.

Germany host the men's European Championship next year.
Nagelsmann, who replaced Flick as Bayern boss at the end of 2020-21, had long been tipped as a leading contender for the Germany job.
The highly rated 38-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Bayern in March.
Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has frequently been linked with the Germany job, while Voller was also thought to be in contention, despite having not managed since a stint as Bayer Leverkusen caretaker in 2005.

Another name that had been mooted was former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner.
