Gary Lineker has broken his silence following his savage on-air jibe at Frank Lampard.
Lineker was joined by Lampard, Alex Scott and Brentford boss Thomas Frank for Wednesday's Euro 2024 clash between Germany and Hungary.
And during the BBC broadcast, the Match of the Day host brutally poked fun at Lampard.

He pointed out there was a screen in the background of the studio, which blocked fans from being able to look in.
Lampard joked that if the screen was taken away, then they would only be able to see the back of his head.
Lineker responded by inadvertently insulting the 46-year-old, saying 'nobody wants to see the back of your head'.

Lampard initially laughed at Lineker's taunt before his smile faded as he cut a priceless reaction on his face.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker said he feels 'bad' for the Chelsea legend and intends to apologise to him.
"I got myself in a bit of a pickle with Frank Lampard. It's gone viral, I feel bad," he began.

"I didn't mean it the way it came out, but it's quite funny and Frank's as good as gold, he doesn't mind. Obviously Frank's slightly thinning, I'm slightly thinning, and I actually meant it about everyone.
"But when it came out, it came out a bit wrong. And you know Frank does that thing where he smiles, and then he suddenly doesn't smile?"
Lineker called Lampard 'great fun' as he was critical of himself.
"Frank's great fun, he won't mind. I must admit, when I got back to the hotel and saw it on social media, I went, 'Oh you f**king idiot',' he added.

"I felt really bad, I'll have to apologise. It wasn't deliberate but I get how funny it was. Those things happen on live TV."
