Fantasy Premier League players will have new rule changes coming into play in the 2024/25 season, including a "mystery chip".
The fantasy football mode attracts millions of players each season, with fans building a dream team with £100 million in-game currency and competing with their friends.
The aim is to score the most points, which is achieved through players scoring, assisting and keeping clean sheets.

The game typically remains the same each year but some exciting tweaks have been made for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Chips which players can use include Wildcards, the Bench Boost, the Free Hit and the Triple Captain - all potential game-changers.
But the FPL chiefs have confirmed that a new chip will be arriving. It's all very top-secret at the moment but we do know that the cat will be out of bag ahead of it being rolled in January 2025.

Speculation has been rife as to what the chip could be. A return of the All Out Attack option, which allowed you to spam your team with forwards for one week, was mentioned.
"Chips are a huge part of the FPL game," FPL expert Sam Bonfield said.
"Getting the chip strategy right can be the difference between winning a mini-league and coming second.

"The announcement of the Mystery Chip is really exciting. I wonder if we could see a return of one of the chips from seasons past, like my all-time favourite the All Out Attack chip?!
"If not, could it be something we have seen FPL trial in the FPL Challenge game like the limitless price week or the points for every shot?
"Whatever the new chip is, I can't wait to hear about it!"
Another key change will see players able to make five free transfers instead of one, without taking a hit to the points tally.

Following the use of a wildcard or Free Hit, transfers banked can be retained and used the next week instead of a reset.
Points wise, any goalkeeper who scores will secure 10 points instead of six - and there has been an overhaul of the bonus system.
Erling Haaland has been confirmed as the most expensive player in the history of FPL, costing a whopping £15 million after back-to-back Golden Boot campaigns.
