A Liverpool star has broken a long-standing record at Euro 2024.
In total, 10 players from Liverpool will be away with their respective countries for Euro 2024 including the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Cody Gakpo.
Full-back Robertson endured a tough opening match as Scotland were thrashed 5-1 by host nation Germany at the Allianz Arena.
On Saturday afternoon, Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai broke a 64-year-long record after he was named Hungary captain for their clash against Switzerland.

At the age of 23 years, seven months and 21 days old, Szoboszlai has become the youngest-ever captain in Euros history since it was formed in 1960.
Speaking ahead of the match, he said: “A few days ago, I found out that I’ll be the youngest team captain of all time at the European Championship; this is a great honour for me and at the same time, I would like to thank Marco Rossi for trusting me and for giving me the opportunity to lead the team to the European Championship.
“I'm not nervous yet, but I'm curious to see how I'll feel when we're on the bus to the stadium in Cologne. Until then, I'll take advantage of the situation that I can wait calmly for the opening match against Switzerland.”

Szoboszlai joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig last summer and quickly endeared himself to the Reds fanbase.
However, a hamstring injury hampered his progress and he eventually found out of Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI towards the end of the season.
Reflecting on his first season in the Premier League, Szoboszlai added: “I've just finished a difficult season, but since this was my first in the Premier League, I'm not dissatisfied with my performance, although I definitely want to have a better season next time.”
