Former Manchester United boss and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry have emerged as targets for the same managerial job.
Ten Hag is out of work following his Man United dismissal last year while Henry is also not contracted after leading France to a silver medal at the 2024 Olympics.
Ten Hag was sacked after a string of bad results and was relieved of his duties last October.
As for Henry, he signed a two-year deal to manage France's under-21s team but resigned from his position following last summer's Paris Games.

"Winning the silver medal at the Olympic Games for my country will remain one of the greatest prides of my life," he said in a statement.
"I am incredibly grateful to the federation, the players, the staff and the supporters who allowed me to live a magical experience."

The Arsenal icon, 47, began his managerial career with AS Monaco before taking charge of MLS side Montreal Impact.
His last two managerial gigs have taken place in the international arena, with Belgium hoping to secure him as their next head coach.
Ten Hag, meanwhile, has been previously linked with a Champions League club, having never managed an international team in his managerial career.
