Fans were left stunned after watching what has been described as Cristiano Ronaldo's 'worst-ever penalty' during Portugal's Nations League clash with Denmark.
Portugal went into the second leg of their Nations League quarter-final clash 1-0 down after Rasmus Hojlund scored a late winner for the Danes in Copenhagen on Thursday.
The Manchester United forward celebrated with Ronaldo's iconic 'Sui' celebration.

But Portugal had the opportunity to get back on level terms in the sixth minute of the second leg after winning a penalty.
Ronaldo stepped up to attempt to score a record-extending 136th international goal - but couldn't find the net.
After a long run-up, the 40-year-old attempted to place his penalty into the bottom corner, but it was too central and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel made a comfortable save low to his left.
Reacting to the missed penalty, one fan wrote on Twitter: "That's one of the worst penalty kicks I've ever seen from Cristiano Ronaldo."

Another went a step further: "Worst penalty I've ever seen from Ronaldo!!! Wow."
And a third asked: "Changing up his pen routine as a top five pen taker of all time? When do you ever see that?"
Fans also spotted the reaction of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes lifted his arms up in celebration as Ronaldo ran up to take the penalty, fully expecting international football's greatest goalscorer to convert from 12 yards.

But that feeling quickly turned to exasperation as he placed both arms behind his head.

Prior to the match kicking off, Ronaldo was awarded a Guinness World Record for the most wins in international football, with 132.
While the Portugal icon appeared happy to receive the award, he would probably be even happier with an aggregate win over Denmark to take his nation through to the semi-finals of the Nations League.
