Cristiano Ronaldo spotted wearing teammates' custom boots during second half of Portugal win

Cristiano Ronaldo spotted wearing teammates' custom boots during second half of Portugal win

Cristiano Ronaldo changed his boots after the break.

Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted wearing his teammates' custom-made boots during Portugal's win over Turkey.

Portugal beat Turkey 3-0 on Saturday as they booked their spot in the next round of Euro 2024.

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring before Samet Akaydın scored a comical own-goal.

In the second-half, Ronaldo set up Bruno Fernandes for their third goal as fans all made the same point.

He provided the assist wearing Fernandes' custom-made boots.

The Manchester United star lent Ronaldo his boots for the second half as his daughter's name appeared on the forward's boots.

The name Matilde was written on the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's pink boots after the break.

Ronaldo has yet to score at Euro 2024, but he has one assist to his name as he'll look to get on the score-sheet when Portugal resume their campaign next Wednesday against Georgia.

The 39-year-old won't just be hoping for a goal but also better security after several pitch invaders entered the field of play.

It's been described as a 'concern' by Roberto Martinez, who hit out at the pitch invaders.

"It is a concern. Today the intentions of the fans were good. We all love a fan who recognises the big stars and icons," he explained.

"But you [must] understand there’s a difficult moment if their intentions are wrong. We need to be careful. It shouldn’t happen - there’s a lot of security.

"We should give a message to the fans also because it is not the right way. It may get worse for the future. It’s not good to have the players so exposed on the pitch."

Man City's Silva added: "It’s just a bit annoying in terms of always having to stop the game because a fan enters the pitch.

"I think that’s the price you pay for being so recognised in the world of football and having a player like [Ronaldo] with us in the team. But in terms of being in danger, no I don’t feel that personally."
