Former Premier League defender William Gallas has called out one Chelsea star for his mentality after accusing him of being too 'scared.'
Gallas played for Chelsea between 2001-2006 and was part of the side that won back-to-back Premier League titles under Jose Mourinho.
The Frenchman went on to play for Spurs and Arsenal later in his career, becoming the first player to represent all three London giants.

In a recent interview with Gambling Zone, Gallas brought up inconsistency within team selection as one issue the club is facing and singled out one Chelsea defender for a lack of confidence.
“It is a problem to change the players in defence every week, because they don’t perform. They don’t do what they have to do and it’s unacceptable," Gallas explained.
“The first thing they are is defenders, so they have to defend very well. They have to protect their goalkeeper. When you look at the first goal they conceded against Burnley, the reaction and movement of Badiashile looked like he was scared of the ball."

Badiashile signed for Chelsea from Monaco in 2023 for a reported fee of £32.7m and has gone on to make 20 Premier League appearances to date, with just nine coming this campaign.
The 23-year-old defender rather astonishingly signed a seven-and-a-half-year deal, something that has become a bit of a trend at Chelsea since the takeover of Todd Boehly.
Later in the interview former Blues defender recalled the way his teammates played during his time at the club, reiterating the huge decline that has happened at Stamford Bridge.

“Before we had John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho - with this partnership, we would never concede that goal. With players like Terry, we were fighting and giving everything to not let them score," Gallas explained.
Chelsea currently sit 12th in the Premier League table with 10 games to go, as they continue to stagnate after finishing 12th last season.
