There has been a major development regarding the future of Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho amid interest from Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Chelsea are "edging closer" to an agreement with United for the transfer of Sancho after holding further talks.
Permanent and loan options are still on the table, but it's understood that Chelsea need to offload players if they are to complete a deal before the transfer window closes at 11pm BST on Friday.
Raheem Sterling is the key candidate to depart Stamford Bridge, with United open to the idea of taking the 29-year-old to Old Trafford.

However, United do not feel that they need to replace Sancho if he leaves.
Sky Sports News has reported that that Sterling will either stay at Chelsea or join Arsenal.
Sancho was frozen out of United's first team squad last season after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag. He returned to former club Borussia Dortmund on loan in January, but the Bundesliga side did not decide to make the move permanent.
United signed Sancho from Dortmund in a £73m deal in 2021, but the winger failed to hit the heights he did in Germany.

Last season the 24-year-old helped BVB reach the final of the Champions League, although he could not prevent his side losing 2-1 to Real Madrid at Wembley.
