Chelsea have made an audacious swap deal proposal to Everton, according to a new report, as they try and make late moves in the transfer window.
It looks like Chelsea will miss out on a deal to sign Victor Osimhen after the Nigerian forward agreed a three-year contract worth around £33 million a year with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.
Osimhen has been a main transfer target for Chelsea ahead on Friday's deadline but it appears they will need to look elsewhere. Step forward, Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

A report from The Times suggests Chelsea expressed an interest in Everton striker Calvert-Lewin, who is entering the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.
In fact, a proposal was discussed that would have seen the Toffees take David Datro Fofana in a swap deal following his forgettable loan spell at Burnley last season.
But it appears Everton were not interested in making it happen, with the values placed on each player being 'too far apart'.

Chelsea value Calvert-Lewin at around £10 million rising to £12.5 million – a similar sum Liverpool spent on Federico Chiesa, who was also in the final year of his contract at Juventus.
Calvert-Lewin has spent eight years at Goodison Park and has long been linked with a big move away, with Newcastle United recently linked.
The 27-year-old appeared in 32 league games last season and was directly involved in nine goals.
Rumours over his future have been rife but as it stands, he will stay at Goodison Park, according to The Times.

David Datro Fofana, meanwhile, joined Chelsea from Norwegian side Molde in January 2023 for a fee between £8-10 million.
He since made four appearances for the club but continues to be linked with a move, with Sunderland said to be interested.
As mentioned earlier, it appears Victor Osimhen has made a final decision on his future amid transfer interest from Chelsea.

According to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio, the Napoli striker has opted to join Al-Ahli, with Napoli standing to earn around €80 million (£67.3m) plus add-ons.
Osimhen's contract will reportedly include a release clause, although the value of that condition is not known. He is set to undergo a medical with the Saudi club on Friday.
