Former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos could be set for a shock move to a huge club.
Ramos, 38, is currently without a club after his contract at Sevilla expired at the end of the 2023-24 season.
The Spaniard is widely considered to be one of the best defenders of the past two decades, having won 22 trophies at Madrid during his 16-year tenure in the Spanish capital.
While he’s a defender by trade, Ramos boasts 101 goals for Los Blancos with his 93rd-minute header against Atletico Madrid during the Champions League final in Lisbon - allowing Madrid to advance to extra-time before they secured the coveted ‘La Decima’ (tenth European Cup/Champions League) title with a 4-1 win over their city rivals in 2014.

After departing Madrid, he enjoyed two years at PSG before returning to his hometown club Sevilla in 2023.
Now, he may well be on the move again, but this time, he could play for a non-European club.
Ramos is attracting interest from Argentinian giants Boca Juniors and has reportedly been in conversation with the club’s president, Juan Román Riquelme – former Barcelona midfielder – according to Relevo.

Their pursuit of the defender may be made easier because Boca’s manager is Ramos’ former Madrid teammate Fernando Gago, who played for Los Blancos between 2007 and 2012.
Although Ramos is in the twilight years of his career, he is not short of interest from clubs from around the world, having received offers from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates - but he declined the approaches, according to reports.
The 38-year-old is regularly seen working out in the gym through videos he posts to his Instagram account, which has 64.5m followers.
Ramos and Boca seem a match made in footballing heaven.

The club are known for their raucous atmosphere at the 57,000 capacity La Bombanera, with the likes of Diego Maradona and Carlos Tevez previously donning the famous blue and yellow shirt.
Ramos' combative style of play and passion is likely to go down well with South American fans.
While the defender is a classy operator, he is more than happy to engage in a battle with his opponents - regularly using the 'dark arts' of football, as Mohamed Salah found out in the 2018 Champions League final.
