Former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has caused outrage with a social media post after being shown a red card while playing for Mexican club Monterrey.
Ramos, now 38, made the surprise move to Mexico's top flight in February, signing a 12-month contract with the five-time Liga MX champions.
The Spain legend is reportedly earning €5 million per season, as per beIN Sports, making him the highest-paid player in Monterrey's squad.

Ramos chose to wear the number 93 to pay homage to his 93rd-minute winning goal in Real Madrid's 2014 Champions League final success against Atletico Madrid.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given his career history of a staggering 30 red cards, it only took the Spaniard five games to receive his first sending off for Monterrey.
After scoring in three of his first four matches, he was shown a red card for kicking out at striker Guillermo Martinez during Sunday's 3-1 away win over U.N.A.M.

Ramos protested but the offence was committed in the full view of the assistant referee.
The 38-year-old then took to social media to address the incident - but his post prompted outrage among members of the home team and their fans.
He wrote: "Very important win away from home against a difficult team. Time to rest and prepare what's next.
"P.S.: It was obvious I couldn't leave this league without a red card."

But home head coach Efrain Juarez was left furious that the Spaniard was even still on the pitch at the time of his sending off.
"Whatever his name is, it has to be an example," Juarez began. "If someone from our country had done that, they'd be out from the 20th minute, not the 90th, trying to make amends. That bothers me.
"We must protect our football. He [Ramos] elbowed a kid who, just the day before, said he was his idol."
