Jamie Carragher has issued a statement after being forced to leave CBS Sports' Champions League coverage midway through Wednesday's broadcast.
The US station - which broadcasts live from London on Champions League nights, was covering the three last 16 second leg clashes on Wednesday.
Among them included Real Madrid's dramatic penalty shootout victory over Atletico Madrid, which saw Atletico forward Julian Alvarez penalised for a double kick before his penalty went in. A new angle of the incident has since emerged.

Arsenal and Aston Villa also secured their passage through to the quarter-finals, where they will take on Real and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
But Carragher, a staple of CBS' coverage alongside Kate Scott, Thierry Henry and Micah Richards, had to leave the coverage early, meaning he missed the end of the matches.
Presenter Scott revealed that the Liverpool legend 'was not feeling well' at half-time and was forced to leave the studio, after being asked by Henry and Richards as to where Carragher was.

The Daily Mirror reported that the illness was not indicated to be a serious one.
He has now addressed the matter on Instagram, writing: "Feeling better now & just checking if the team can cope without me." He added a laughing emoji to the end of the post, which was uploaded to his stories.
On Tuesday, Carragher was present in the home end at Anfield as Liverpool lost to PSG on penalties to crash out of the Champions League.
Unsurprisingly, Scott aimed several digs at the ex-Liverpool defender when doing her traditional introductions for the show on Wednesday evening.
"Tonight, just like the story of the prodigal son. A bit too big for his boots, he thought life would be sweeter on the road. He thought he would be away, enjoying drinking and revelling.

"But he took a major loss and realised his foolishness. He came home, humbled. Hoping that he would accepted. Jamie Carragher, back in the chair."
