Fans were left baffled by what happened after Lamine Yamal scored in Barcelona’s round of 16 second-leg tie against Benfica in the Champions League.
Yamal, 17, provided the assist for Raphinha’s strike, which opened the scoring on 11 minutes, after he bamboozled two Benfica defenders before what appeared to be a skewed shot found its way to the Brazilian, who made no mistake from close range.
The away side equalised through Nicolas Otamendi's header just two minutes later before Raphinha, this time, turned provider with an assist for Yamal’s left-footed curler, which left Anatoliy Trubin no chance in the Portuguese outfit’s goal.
"That's a beautiful goal," said former England manager Glenn Hoddle who was commentating for TNT Sports.

"As soon as Lamine Yamal comes inside he's going away from the goal and he caresses the ball into the far corner.
"What a goal that is. It's top, top class.
"What a young player. How good is he going to be when he's at his peak?"
The winger even made history in the first half as he became the youngest player to register a goal and assist in the same Champions League match at just 17 years and 241 days.

But it was what happened after his goal that has got fans talking.
The Barca kitman was waiting on the sidelines with a new pair of boots as the ones Yamal scored in appeared to have been damaged.

Fans were quick to give their thoughts on social media.

Yamal and Raphinha's impressive performances have been a theme of the 2024/25 campaign for the Catalan side.
The 17-year-old has already explained how he feels Liverpool and Barca are the two favourites for this year's Champions League - Barca last won the competition back in 2015.
“I think that only Liverpool are more favourites than us in Champions League… as they arrived first," Yamal told MD in February.
“We can compete to win it. We can be there."
