BBC accidentally show player stripping off live on TV in embarrassing blunder during Euro 2024 coverage

BBC accidentally show player stripping off live on TV in embarrassing blunder during Euro 2024 coverage

The BBC had access to the Netherlands dressing room before their clash with Romania and viewers got more than they bargained for.

The BBC gave viewers more than they bargained for on Tuesday night prior to the Netherlands' 3-0 win over Romania.

Ronald Koeman's side set up a quarter final showdown with Turkey thanks to a routine win at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in the first half before Donyell Malen came off the bench to bag a late brace.

Netherlands will now face Turkey on Saturday after they beat Austria 2-1 later on in the evening.

But ahead of the clash, the BBC panned to the Dutch dressing room and accidentally showed the backside of a Netherlands player.

The majority of players were milling about in their tracksuits but one player was actually getting changed when the behind the scenes feed took place.

And for a brief few seconds, one star's bare backside was completely on show as they pulled down their underwear.

The camera did cut away but of course in this day and age plenty of viewers picked up on the X-rated scene.

One wrote: "I suspect the BBC will think twice before putting a live camera in the team changing rooms in future."

Another said: "Not sure the BBC should be filming in the Holland changing area - unless they specifically want background Dutch buttocks?"

Another joked: "Worth the licence fee alone, tbh!".

A fourth commented: "Could you see their Netherlands?”.

It hasn't been revealed who the player in question is but he will be hoping for a little more privacy next time around.

The Dutch take on Turkey at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday, with the winner taking on England or Switzerland in the semi final.

The last time the Netherlands won the Euros was back in 1988 in West Germany, where Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten struck in a 2-0 win over the Soviet Union in the final.
